The day has come: Disney +, The Walt Disney Company's long-awaited streaming platform, is arrived. After a change of date that brought the premiere in Spain by a week, we can now welcome you to Disney Plus and its immense catalog of films, series, documentaries, shorts and other special programs.

As you can imagine, the Disney service comes with a very powerful offer to attract the public. Based on its US release, we recommend the 25 best movies you might see on Disney +.

On this occasion, we broaden the spectrum for tell you about the 15 best series and movies which you can find on the platform in Spain. Obviously, this selection does based on our personal criteria, therefore it is possible that you do not agree with each of the chosen titles. For that reason, we encourage you to leave us your list of the best Disney + series and movies in the comments. While you decide, we will tell you our selection.

Great hero 6

At the end of 2014, Big Hero 6 was released in Spain, a film in which young Hiro Hamada, his robot Baymax and his group of friends are involved in a dangerous conspiracy that takes place on the streets of San Fransokyo, his hometown. Determined to solve the mystery together, Hiro and his friends embark on a fearless adventure with the help of Baymax, one of those unforgettable animated characters.

The Mandalorian

Disney owns Lucasfilm, the mythical producer of the Star Wars saga that you must see yes or yes if you are a Disney + subscriber. In this selection, we wanted to recommend you something new in addition to those 6 films that we all know. It is about The Mandalorian, the original series created for Disney +, set after the fall of the Empire and before the appearance of the First Order.

The Mandalorian follows the adventures of Mando, a Bounty hunter of the legendary Mandalorian tribe that goes about its business in the farthest corners of the galaxy, far from the reach of the New Republic.


Vaiana (or Moana in the US) is one of those Disney movies that young and old alike must see, especially for its beautiful animation. The protagonist is Vaiana, a young Polynesian islander who wants to recover the ancient traditions of her tribe. With the help of her grandmother's advice, and despite her father's prohibitions, the protagonist embarks on a dangerous journey to recover the heart of the goddess Te Fiti and thus save his island from future destruction.

The Simpsons

Little new information can we give you about The Simpsons, a series that everyone has seen on occasion. If you've always had to watch all the seasons of this legendary comedy (attention, it's already the 31st), this is yours. With Disney + you can watch any season for catch up on the adventures of Homer, Marge, Lisa, Bart, Maggie and all their Springfield neighbors.

De Reves (Inside Out)

One of the best Pixar releases of recent years is Del Revés (or Inside Out), an appropriate film to understand the importance of emotions. This is reflected in the film through Riley, a young woman trying to adjust to her new life in San Francisco. The change also affects their emotions, joy, fear, sorrow, anger and sadness, who are unable to agree on how to act in this new life.


The couple of explorers of the little Russell and old Carl Fredricksen will win your heart in Up, a film produced by Walt Disney Pictures and Pixar Animation Studios. Together they embark on a journey to Paradise Falls, Venezuela, a fun-filled adventure (and some other complications) that will unite the two protagonists in a tender relationship.

Lizzie McGuire

Let's go back to our childhood to tell you about one of the best series in the Disney + catalog for children and adolescents. The protagonist is Lizzie McGuire, a 13-year-old student facing the usual problems of her age. To overcome them, she has the invaluable help of her best friends, Miranda and Gordo, who often make their now legendary threesome phone calls.

Sister Act: a caring nun

Disney + also has room for older comedies that always manage to make us laugh, like Sister Act: A Careful Nun. Although the platform also has the second part, we highlight the first, in which Deloris Van Cartier (Whoopi Goldberg) gains a new identity as a nun after witnessing a crime. With his arrival, the convent will lose the tranquility that characterized it to immerse yourself in the hustle and bustle of this particular singer.

Smiles and tears

There is always time to see a classic like _Sonrisas y Tears, with Julie Andrews. The actress plays Maria, a novice who is sent to Salzburg to work as a housekeeper for Captain Georg von Trapp's seven children. One of the greatest classics of Disney animation is The Lion King. If you haven't met Mufasa, Simba or Scar yet, it's time to put on this movie on Disney + e discover the path of the young lion to become king. On the Disney streaming platform you can also find the "live action" adaptation that the company premiered in 2019.

Who Betrayed Roger Rabbit?

Considered a modern classic, Who Framed Roger Rabbit? mix animation characters with real actors. In Los Angeles in 1937, detective Eddie Valiant investigates Marvin Acme, accused of being after Jessica Rabbit, wife of superstar Roger Rabbit. During the investigation, Acme is found murdered and all eyes turn to Rabbit, who asks Valiant for help in proving that he is not the culprit.

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse

We conclude this selection of the best Disney + content with an educational series for the little ones. In each episode Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Pluto ask for the collaboration of the children to solve a problem, each of which is a learning opportunity for the spectators, without neglecting entertainment.
