In one of the latest updates of WhatsApp, now you can remove audio from videos you send to your contacts, a curious detail to say the least and what causes the recipient of that video to receive it silently and therefore be able to listen to it without sound, which is very useful.
Useful because the contact will be able to reproduce it without fearing that it will be heard very loud because it is really muffled and therefore they will be able to turn up the volume if they wish, but it is a good way not to see each other in a compromising situation when you are with several people and want to see it.
Keep in mind that you can only mute videos on whatsapp for android, the option does not appear in WhatsApp for iOS at the moment, but surely it will soon in a new update, this kind of situations are very common.
Sending videos without audio via WhatsApp is very simple, these are the steps to follow to activate this possibility, applicable to iOS as soon as it is available:
- Open the conversation of the person you are about to send a video to and click on the clip icon to send an attachment, in this case it would be the video and you need to select the gallery.
- Choose the video to send and before sending it, the editor opens to edit it, note that a small appears just below trumpet or loudspeaker icon, all you have to do is press it and the video will be sent silent, from there you can send it.
If you want earlier, you can edit the video by adding some sort of emoji, text or whatever you want, this doesn't change, only now you can send it with silence turned on.
You already had this feature of muting videos while sending for a few days because that's when WhatsApp implemented it in its beta version, but not in the stable version, and that's exactly what happened, that some of the latest updates were added without us noticing.
